Challenge
Clinicians were spending evenings on notes. Documentation burden was driving burnout and delaying chart closure.
Approach
We built a HIPAA-aligned pipeline on AWS: encounter audio via Whisper, structured note drafts with GPT-4 under clinical templates, and a review UI that keeps the clinician in the approval loop.
Outcomes
- Draft notes ready for review instead of a blank chart at the end of the day
- Clinician approval required before any note enters the EHR
- Templates matched to the specialty, not a generic SOAP dump
